Elizabeth was a passionate and curious UX designer whom I had the pleasure of teaching at MICA. She was highly motivated and a quick learner, and exceeded my expectations regarding the quality of her work and ability to work with other UXers. I think Elizabeth would be a great addition to any Product/UX team.

Common Questions

How would you describe your design process?

A holistic approach that combines research, ideation, iteration, and collaboration. I start by understanding user needs and conducting thorough research to gather insights. Wireframes and prototypes are then made to visualize the user journey and validate design decisions through user testing.

How do you ensure your designs are accessible and inclusive?

I adhere to WCAG 2.1 guidelines to ensure my designs are accessible to users with disabilities. This includes considerations for color contrast, font sizes, keyboard accessibility, and alternative text for images

What is your approach to understanding user needs?

I employ various user research techniques, such as interviews, surveys, and user testing, to gain insights into user behaviors, motivations, and pain points. I analyze this data to identify patterns and create user personas that represent the target audience.
